From Home Workshop to Market in 10 Months

When Johan and his wife were setting up a nursery in spring 2024, they quickly realized how dry the indoor air became during heating season. Conventional humidifiers were bulky, noisy, and inconvenient. So Johan — an experienced product designer by trade — started experimenting with a better way to add moisture to the air, right at the source: the floor vents.

Early ideas involved bowls of water on registers. When those proved impractical, Johan used his prototyping skills and 3D printer to develop what would become EverVent: a sleek, silent, in-vent humidifier and filter system that uses your home’s existing airflow to make winter air more comfortable — and cleaner.

Innovation Made in Canada

The Ottawa Citizen article celebrates not just the product, but what it represents: a new wave of Canadian innovation. Johan brought EverVent from prototype to production in just 10 months. Today, EverVent is available online, with growing demand from families looking for a simple, elegant solution to dry indoor air.
